Hi. I'm looking forward to doing some interesting collaborative work here. -- DavisFoulger
Howdy, I am a ?UnionOrganizer who discovered Wiki around the begining of the year (~1/4/2) and have been unwilling to stop with it. I think Wiki. I did something tonight that I fear will provoke some unhappiness at the main wiki, wards. It is a question about how many letters you can use. I wrote the is huge, long hyper-link. To beg the question, what is the upper limit. Anyway, look forward to this, Best, MarkDilley
Hi, Mark. The upper limit is probably imposed by the operating system. I don't know what OS the C2 WikiWikiWeb is on, so its hard to answer the question. On this system, which runs on Windows 2000 with Apache server and the QuickiWiki application, the absolute limit is probably up in the range of 200 to 300 characters. A more reasonable limit is what visibly fits on one line in the Wiki editor, and a useful limit is just a few words. I assume, since you are interested in using Wiki for Union Organizing, that you plan to set up your own Wiki on a Union owned server. Union organizing really isn't one of the subjects here. MattTaylor - This is a subject that has occupied a great deal of of my thought since the mid 60s. I am interested in participating in dialogs in this wiki space - I like the model you presented as I believe the best approach is to consider the premise that “all media is multimedia.” For my latest application of media, as augmentation tool, in creative, collaborative work environments see: http://www.matttaylor.com/public/unicredit/unicredit_nav_center_tour.htm - note that this piece is still a work in progress and has many links off it to relevant topics.
Hello, just wanted to let you know that I was here, Rita Reinoso.
You know that Abitbol guy has no manners anyway! No etiquette, no net etiquette, nothing! He is ignominous, infamous. :-) Davis, I tried to phone you a while ago but the number listed was busy all the time. I know you like to talk but not 24 hours a day so I suppose it has technical problems :-). Could you send me an e-mail so that I'll know your e-mail? I am: pnb12@aol.com. I need to ask you something regarding a project of mine. You should put a link to Recent Changes on the bottom of every page. -- Infamous thug RobertAbitbol :-)
