- Bova, Ben. Jupiter. New York; Tor, 2001.
- Focused on a future exploration of Jupiter in which a form of intelligent life is found in a high pressure ocean of water. Deals with communication media in a number of subthemes, including an assumed form of video messaging, the difficulties posed to communication by hostile conditions, a technology that enables communication with Dolphins, an enhanced Gorilla that has the communicative abilities of a 2 year old, and, of course, the communication method of the discovered intelligent life form on Jupiter. Should set up some nice discussions
- Ender's Game
- The Postman?
- A Star Trek Novel that makes some novel use of Holo-technology
- The closing episode of Star Trek Voyager? Too long, perhaps.
