This is a place where you can try out adding and editing text in a Collaborative Wiki. Please feel free to try out wiki editing here. This is a "safe place" that I can readily restore to its original condition. As with all Wiki Sandboxes, this one is occasionally cleaned, so there is no assurance that things you put here will stay for a long time. You may want to visit the QuickRef (usually visible in the frame to the right) or WikiEdit pages to see the special things you can do to format text here. This is not a place to advertise your web site in an attempt to improve your placement on Google. See SiteVandal for information about how we deal with posts that attempt to misuse this resource.

I replied to your comment on my non-blog about spamming here, I'd post the link but you may consider that spam ;-) the domain began with shreddies and ended in org. Hopefully you can find your way to my apology.

I followed my way to Shreddies and from there to the Turnbull article. I was already aware that there are folks who are trying to up their statistics by throwing trash onto wiki pages, especially WikiSandbox. I have been fighting it ever since it started. This wiki is here for a purpose, and hosting advertisements for other people's sites isn't one of them. The more I delete the more likely I am to stem the tide. Last week some joker completely replaced the sandbox page, deleting, among other things, the header. And for what? To get a higher ranking on Google. My wiki is not viagra for web sites. That said, you seem to want an apology for my having deleted your advertisement, I will acknowledge that the page referenced was actually a meta on the problem you were contributing to, but I'm still at a loss for what I should apologise for. AT the top of this page you tell us to play in your sandbox and edit it. So you are inviting people to play in it, i.e. play any way they want including leaving links. If you don't want people to play then don't have a sandox or don't invite people to play in it.
I invite people to learn how to use Wiki and experiment with it. Leaving commercial links and not doing anything else isn't playing to learn how to use the system. It is an attempt to exploit the wiki system to increase Google ratings. I don't support that. Its not what this system is about. In any case, the rules of Wiki sandboxes don't assure that anything will stay. I can generally tell if someone is learning to use the system or simply manipulating it for personal gain by just looking.
